DYSTINCT werd in 1998 geboren in Antwerpen met de naam Iliass Mansouri. Zijn vader was zanger en als kind vergezelde Dystinct hem vaak naar zijn optredens. Zijn passie voor muziek groeide, maar de zanger worstelde om vrijuit over zijn ambities te praten omdat zijn ouders het niet eens waren met deze carrière keuze. Dystinct zijn vooruitstrevende persoonlijkheid zorgde er toch voor dat hij op 14-jarige leeftijd zijn muzikale talenten professioneel verder ging ontwikkelen. Dit harde werken werd al snel beloond, zijn debuut-single “No Ring Ring” heeft meer dan 3 miljoen views op YouTube en meer dan 4 miljoen streams op Spotify. Zijn geluid is het beste te omschrijven als urban met Arabisch/Afrikaanse fusion-elementen. Hij werkte eerder al samen met namen als Chawki, Franglish, F1rstman, DJ Leska, Zefanio en vele anderen. Dystinct is momenteel druk bezig met zijn debuut album die binnenkort zal verschijnen.

DYSTINCT released his first official track “No Ring Ring” in 2017 and since then, the Belgian-Moroccan singer has been making a huge buzz, especially in North Africa and Europe. June 2023 he will be touring for the first time through Europe and Canada for his upcoming album “Layali”.
